Dear all,
I wanted to inform you that the reports on the atlas of ShakeMaps, the study of seismic sources and the roadmap for the analysis of seismic hazard have been uploaded on the ByMuR project website as internal files.
Shortly, the 61 maps of the Atlas will be included.
Ciao

Dear all,
as regards the intensity measures (IM) to be used in Seismic Risk, within WG1 we are thinking to use only PGA, at least for the general application to the whole city of Naples (for particular application, we could think to use Sd, for example). This choice is due to the ease with which it can be used in seismic risk assessment, the fact that it was already being used in the majority of the studies considered. This will also reduce the effort to be done by WG2 (seismic hazard assessment).
As far as I know, a similar choice has been done in other projects. In particular, in SYNER-G (ongoing EU project, www.syner-g.eu), whenever a set of fragility curves (vulnerability), found in literature, was developed with another IM, it has been converted to PGA.
I would like to know your opinion about this. In particular, I would like to know if, in other projects, you have seen different choices.
Ciao,
Jacopo

Dear all,
we published in the project's website two reports from WG1.
The first report regards the intensity measures (IMs) that represent the output of the Hazard analyses, and the input to vulnerability, in ByMuR. This is still a very preliminary report, and other more detailed reports will follow. We believe that it is necessary to open discussion among all the participants to the project about the IMs to be used for seismic risk analyses (see more details in the document).
The second report contains a short review of fragility functions in tsunami risk analysis.
To download these reports, you should login in the website. Once logged in, you will find the reports in the “Repository” section. Please, consider that, for the moment, these reports are just internal.
Ciao,
Jacopo

Hi folks, I have just sent the html file for wg3 to Jacopo... I think most of us have not yet compiled these files, so please go ahead and let's fill up this website with contents!
Ciao

Hi all,
since we had problems with fake messages sent by unknown users (with relative email sent to everyone!), to add new massages it will be needed to login.
Everyone can ask me to have such info by sending me an email.
ciao,
Jacopo

Ciao Jacopo, ciao a tutti.
Anche io ho avuto un progetto approvato che riguardera' ovviamente il vulcanismo e anche i terremoti indotti da fluidi in generale. Ci sentiamo piu' avanti per vedere se abbiamo dei punti in comune!

This forum is meant to be a public space for sharing experiences, works, papers, etc., in the framework of multi-risk assessments.
The goal is to possibly help homogenizing the efforts to the definition of the multi-risk approach, and to form a common platform for discussions among different groups and projects.
