Working Group #4 (RU#2): Bayesian Tsunami Hazard
- Goals: Probability Tsunami Hazard Assessment (PTHA)
- Responsible: Anita Grezio (INGV)
- Participants: Roberto Tonini (INGV), Laura Sandri (INGV), Jacopo Selva (INGV)
TASKS
- Local map of tsunami hazard (and its uncertainties)
ACTIVITY
The first phase of the PTHA consists of the identification of the tsunamigenic sources. They are the submarine seismic sources (SSS), submarine mass failures (SMF), and piroclastic flows (PF). Submarine active faults will be individuated by WG2. They will provide the following seismic source parameters: locations (latitude and longitude), Magnitudes (Mw), geometric fault parameters (lenght, width, depth) and moment tensors (strike, dip and rake). Submarine Mass Failure are individuated by literature and background knowledge, wherease PF are indicated by WG3.
